Both retired, decades in, looking for people rather than partners

We are sixty six and sixty eight, we have been together thirty one years, and this has been part of our life for twenty six of them. We are not looking for a partner, a third, or an arrangement. We have what we want at home.
What we have lost is people. The circle we belonged to for two decades has thinned out. Two moved away to be near grandchildren, one died three summers ago, and the rest simply stopped going out. We are in Queens and we have a house that used to be full on a Saturday and is not any more.
So this is a post looking for friends. Couples roughly our own age, or anybody who does not find the age off putting, who would like dinner and conversation with people who understand what their life actually contains.
We are experienced and happy to talk about it. We have watched this world change several times over and we have opinions, some of which are probably wrong by now. Not looking for anything physical with anybody. We want to be very clear about that, because a post like this from a couple gets read a certain way, and we would rather disappoint you now than later.
Not looking to be anyone's curiosity about how people our age manage. We manage fine. We are simply short of company.
