An hour on the metro, both ways, plus the walk at each end, plus the fact that the last one is earlier than anybody planning an evening ever remembers. That is not nothing. It is most of a night and a taxi fare for a dinner, and I have done it enough times to know exactly what it costs.
Forty two, Paris, dominant, twenty years, all of it in the east of this city. Two long dynamics, both with people within half an hour of me, both of which lasted years, which I do not think is a coincidence. The circle over here is small and connected and rather warm once you are in it, and it is also small enough that after twenty years I know most of it. Hence a post.
What I want is a submissive on this side, or out along the same line, which is closer than half the places people suggest and which nobody ever thinks of. Service, structure, a long arrangement, and a great deal of ordinary contact rather than occasional events. I run things quietly and undramatically. There is very little impact in what I do and a great deal of expectation.
I am happy to go west sometimes and I have friends over there. What I will not do is build something in which the journey is always mine, because I have watched two friends do exactly that and watched both of them stop.
