I moved here twelve years ago and I have been to the beach four times and two of those were because relatives were visiting. I am aware of how this reads. My friends have never let it go.
Forty two, Barra, dominant, seventeen years. I do not like sand, I do not like crowds, I burn in eleven minutes, and my ideal weekend involves a cold flat, the curtains shut and nobody arriving unannounced. In a city organised almost entirely around being outdoors with a lot of other people, this has made my social life quite narrow and my domestic life extremely comfortable.
I mention it because it is the single most useful compatibility question I have. Almost everybody who writes to me here proposes something outdoors and sociable for a first meeting, and I would rather say now that my whole life happens indoors.
What I want is a long domestic dynamic. Service, protocol, standing rules, and a great deal of ordinary time in the same room not talking. Two of my three dynamics were with people who were similarly unsociable and both lasted years.
I can host, obviously, since I am always there. Not looking for anybody who wants to be taken places. Not looking for a person who will make it a project to get me outside, which two people have tried and which is exhausting. Not looking to attend anything at all.
