I do nothing between May and September and I am posting anyway

I have not seen anybody since the start of May. Every year the same thing happens: it gets cold, it gets dark early, my house is freezing, and I stop doing anything at all that involves leaving it. By September I emerge and wonder where four months went.
Forty two, the inner city, switch, fourteen years in. I am posting at the beginning of it, deliberately, because if I wait for spring I will be starting from nothing again for the fifth year running.
So what I am proposing is something that begins slowly and mostly in writing for the next few weeks and becomes a real thing as it warms up. That is not hedging. It is an accurate description of what I can offer in May and what I will be like in October, and they are quite different people.
What I want is one partner, both directions, for something long. I lead more often than not. I am considerably better company than this post makes me sound, in about six weeks.
Not looking for anybody who wants to meet this week, unless they are prepared for a very quiet person in a very cold room. Not looking for anybody who thinks the winter thing is an excuse. Not looking to be persuaded out for anything in the evening before the clocks change.
