Two jobs, a dog with separation anxiety, and about four free hours a week. That is the whole of my situation and I have decided that stating it up front is more honest than the two of us discovering it together over a month.
Thirty one, the inner west, switch, four years in. The second job is not forever, or that is what I have been telling myself for two years. The dog is forever.
What that means: I will not be a good correspondent, I cannot stay out late because of the dog, and my free hours are almost always on a Sunday. I am also, when I am actually there, quite good at this, and the person I was with last year said the limited time made her take it more seriously rather than less.
What I want is something modest and ongoing. Both directions, no strong preference, although I have noticed that I want to be led when work is bad and to lead when it is fine, which is hardly a mystery.
Not looking for anybody who needs a lot of contact in between. Not looking for a dynamic that requires me to be available on weekday evenings. Not looking for somebody who dislikes dogs, which sounds like a joke and is the single most practical sentence in this post.
