I do not use most of the words people use on this board and I am not going to start at fifty. Not out of principle. They sound wrong in my mouth, I have watched myself use them badly, and it was embarrassing for everybody in the room.
So here is what I want in plain words. Sometimes I want to be in charge of somebody who wants that. Sometimes I want somebody to be in charge of me and to mean it. I want it with one person over a long period rather than with several, and I want it to be a real part of a relationship rather than an activity we schedule into it.
Fifty, the eastern suburbs, twenty two years of this in one form or another, almost all of it inside two long relationships and none of it with anybody I met deliberately.
I am aware the vocabulary exists for good reasons and that it makes negotiation clearer. I am not against it and I will use it if you prefer. I am saying that if you write to me in a paragraph of terminology I will read it three times and still not be certain what you meant.
Not looking for anybody who wants a written protocol. Not looking for events or groups. Not looking for somebody who will find the way I talk about this quaint, which is a particular tone I have run into and did not enjoy.
